• This is where the tail of the outside ski slides away from the skier.
• Sometimes called a ‘down stem’, the outside ski washes out.
• This can be caused by improper balance too far forward or too far inside on the inside ski.
• SOLUTION: Lift inside ski tail to feel more balanced against the outside ski and no more ‘wash out’.

MEASURE:
Ski tails follow the same track as the ski tips. (no slippage)
